How to Upload Images to Steam for Background

if they allowed user's to upload their own backgrounds, then no 1 would buy the profile backgrounds from the Customs Marketplace.

anyway, y'all buy backgrounds here > http://steamcommunity.com/market/

I "think" you get a free one from a list of options at level 10. Someone correct me if I am mistaken. OP, your profile is private so it will always show as level 0 and we cannot see what level your business relationship is.

I do wish we could upload our own backgrounds to truly personalize our profiles but like the other person said then no one would purchase backgrounds from the market or collect cards to craft badges to get backgrounds. Plus a part of me feels if steam had that feature some people would have some "interesting" contour backgrounds.

Oh yous just know it'd exist wangs. Every immature CSGO, COD, TF2 and GMOD actor would have a wang as a background. And alas their immaturity and peversion means the residual of us are stuck with buying boring backgrounds.

You are probably 100% correct on that... I have no doubts almost it. Hello days of trying to find a decent landscape background. Yaaaaaay...

Another outcome would be Organisation Reqs. The background I'd love to use is a monstrous 16K desktop. Anybody viewing my contour would accept to DL that, and I can't imagine that would exist fun if you had slow internet.

Agreed... Got a few backgrounds that I would beloved to use too, probably just got to edit them to a unique size like the standard 1920x1200 dimensions that average steam profile backgrounds use. Overall I got to say if used right, people could really make their contour really unique and amazing. Sadly it all comes back to the people who would corruption the feature.

I'1000 sure that wouldn't exist ane of the problems. Once uploaded, Steam would convert the pic to a standard resolution, as most other forums do for "window dressing" images, e.yard., profile backgrounds, avatars, etc.

*sigh* Yep. Uploaded some shots of forza 7 running on ultra/4K and couldn't empathize why people were laughing at me. Turned out Steam had dumbed information technology down to the point it looked similar a Source game.
